Poetry by Elo-Mall
Elo-Mall published her first book of poetry in 2002 together with her brother. Her real debut came in 2008 however, when two books by her were published simultaneously: "As nowhere else" (original Estonian title "Nagu ei kusagil mujal") and "The Pain in the Beautiful Answer". The latter contains poems written directly in English and is probably of greater interest to the international reader.
We have made available several texts (most from "The Pain in the Beautiful Answer") for you to enjoy. If you find in these texts something you were looking for, or better yet - something you were not, but found nevertheless - we do encourage you to buy the book and support Elo-Mall.
Some more recent texts can also be found at Elo-Mall's myspace blog.
yours are the hands
tonight
to darkness
still matters
don't ask for sweet songs today
no orchestra
nameless
a prayer turned inwards
oh to be close
underground
a prayer for living beings
lightly enough
wounded knee
